RECRUITMENT NOTICE FOR SELECTION CRITERIA OF COMMUNITY HEALTH OFFICER
State Health & Family Welfare Society, Government of Tripura on behalf of National Health
Mission invites the candidates of 360 positions (Reservation policy as per State Government Rules)
who are willing and enthusiastic to serve the community at Sub‐Centre which will functional as
Health & Wellness Centre. To bringing health care services to the doorsteps of the community
candidate will go through a 6‐Months Certificate Course on Community Health for Nurses on July,
2019 session & subsequent upcoming sessions.
This Course is part of an initiative under the National Health Mission to strengthen Sub‐
Centers as Health & Wellness Centers (H&WCs) for improved implementation of public health
programme and to enable comprehensive primary health care service delivery, including disease
prevention and health promotion.
Candidates who successfully complete this course will be posted at Sub Centers as
Community Health Officers (CHOs) to lead a primary health care team.
A Common Written Test will be conducted to filling up of the posts of Community Health
Officer for Sub‐Centers on contractual basis at a fixed pay under the State Health & Family Welfare
Society, Tripura, Agartala. The engagement will be for 5 (five) years, which may be extended based
on the performance till Project period.
Essential Qualification:
1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSC NURSING) / MSC Nursing / Batchelors in AYURVEDA
from a UGC recognized / affiliated Institute / University.
2. Less than 35 years of age; however, less than 40 years for the SCs and STs.
Desirable Qualification:
1. Proficiency in regional/local language and dialect
2. Work experience in the public health system.
Candidates’ selection criteria:
1. Based on cut of marks (i.e. 30%), as per merit basis 180 candidates will be selected for 1st batch
i.e. July 2019 & next 180 candidates will be taken for January 2020 batch from remaing
candidates based on merit. Incase of further vacancy, advertisement will be published on due
course of time. No of posts may increase or decrease at any time before or after selection of
posts.
Entitlement:
1. Candidates will get TA / DA & remuneration during the course period subject to approval of
GOI.
2. The qualified candidates who complete the Certificate Course on Community Health will be
appointed as Community Health Officer at Health Sub Centre level with pay of per month Rs.
25,OOO/‐ as salary / remuneration and there is a provision Performance incentive of Rs.
15000/‐pm maxlmum.
3. National Health Mission Tripura will provide support for boarding and lodging, IGNOU course
fees, transport for practicum, and other training related costs during training period.
Instructions:
1. Eligible candidates may submit their applications through online in the NHM website Job
Section (www. tripuranrhm.gov.in) from 1st June 2019 to 10th June, 2019.
2. No application will be received after 4.00 PM on 10th June 2019. All applications will be
subjected to a screening process and shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a written
examination.
3. Selection will be subject to reservation policy (UR‐ 159, SC‐ 50, ST‐ 151), as per State
Government Rules. On the basis of merit first 180 candidates will be allowed for July 2019
batch.
4. A surety bond shall have to be signed before enrollment to Certificate Course on Community
Health that to qualified person will serve the Sub Centre Minimum for 5 year.
5. Name of short listed eligible candidates will be published in the official website of NHM
(http://tripuranrhm.gov.inl) on due time for appearing in the written Test.
6. The date, time, venue & other details of the Common Written Test are as follows:
a. Eligible candidate list will be published in NHM website on 13th June 2019.
b. Date of Common Written Test: 16th June 2019 (Venue and time will be published in
NHM Website (http;//tripuranrhm.gov.in/) in due course of time.
c. Result / Merit list of written Test will be published on 20th June 2019 at NHM
website (http://tripuranrhm.gov.in)
d. Counseling session, bond signature & form fill up for enrollment to IGNOU: 24th June
2019.
e. All communication will be made through website only & result also will be
published in the website.
f. Please note that June 01, 2019 shall be taken as reference date for computing
experience, age & qualification etc.
g. Candidates have to submit 'No Obiection Certificate (NOC)' from current employers
along with the application form at the time of signing of surety bond. The same
applies to the NHM employees also.
h. The in‐service Candidates if selected will be paid remuneration as per existing salary
or above mentioned pay whichever is higher,
i. T.A. & D.A. will not be admissible for appearing the written examination.
j. The Notice may also be downloaded from http://tripuranrhm.gov.in/
k. The number of post/s may increase / decrease any time before or after
examination.
